The Space

There is one large pool onsite, another private pool beachside and at Coco Bay Beach Club you can order food and drinks poolside or enjoy the delicious restaurant, Sugoi. You also get use of the gym and tennis courts.

Guest Access

Our rental is private to you and your family. Enjoy the entire home. You will be met by our property manager, Melissa. She will provide you with keys and tour of the home.

Interaction with Guests

We have an on-site professional property management company that will provide access, can arrange wonderful tours and provide lots of additional services. We also would love to assist you during your stay, so you're welcome to reach out to us directly. We can share lots of great information about Costa Rica and how to get around.

Other Things to Note

Please note because Vista Ocotal is completing Phase 2 of the development, there may be some construction during normal business hours (9am-5pm). We stayed in the home for 11 days recently and hardly noticed and we were home allot. The last unit being completed is across from our location and the exterior is done, they are working on the interior finishes. Most guests are spending their days on Costa Rican adventures so the construction hasn't been a concern. Feel free to call me with more questions.

Getting Around

Playa Ocotal is located 4.2km from Del Coco beach. The town has lots of restaurants and shops. In fact, the Coco Art Gallery is owned and operated by brothers and sisters. The kingdom hall is also only 4.4km from our house and the congregation loves vistors.

House Rules

Our home is your home. As Jehovah's people we can trust one another to behave appropriately. The community does not allow loud music or parties after 10pm. Costa Rican plumbing (even new) isn't what you may be accustomed to so please be mindful and only dispose of toilet paper in the toilets. There is no sink garbage disposal, all food particles must be thrown in the trash, please pour grease/oil also into the trash cans and not down the drain. We ask that you wash away sand from the beach at the outdoor shower located on the right side of the building. Using bottled water for the kettle and coffee maker will help our appliances last longer. The tap water has high mineral content. Lastly, we provide bright, white towels, please use the small blue towels for makeup removal.

Casa de Aves was an amazing place to stay for our vacation. Walking distance from Playa Ocotal and a short drive to Playa Coco. Our host Jennifer was very responsive when we needed to get in touch with her. This unit is brand new and very comfortable for 6 or 7 people. Having our own full bathrooms was an amazing benefit since we were 2 couples and 2 teenagers. It was a great location for a base to stay and within 2 hours there are many excursions to be had. We recommend this Brobnb.

The entire experience with this rental was great. From first contact with owner to the in-person check-in at the property (which was helpful because our GPS via Google Maps took us a little bit out of way and so needed to call to find out where we were going). The house was very clean and roomie for our family of 4. We enjoyed being able to use all the facilities and close proximity to great restaurants. We preferred visiting Playa Hermosa but also enjoyed visiting Rincon & Diamanté Park
