The name of this neighborhood is The Estuary. It is beautifully landscaped with old Florida foliage and is a mixture of condos, duplexes and homes. It is a lovely place to take long walks, go swimming, play tennis or fish (but beware of alligators!) We are close to beaches (20 min drive) and Historic Downtown Stuart. There are plenty of Shops nearby. The Kingdom Hall is one mile down the street on Britt Road. There are two English Congregations and one Haitian Creole congregation.
I have a Utility Room for doing laundry. Help yourself to the kitchen and all its appliances. Guests with a rental car can take any guest spot. I will share the second bathroom with anyone, which is near my bedroom. You can come and go as you like. I will be making breakfast every morning and will probably bake some goodies to have with coffee, tea or cocoa in the afternoons. We'll have breakfast according to your preference as to when.
Interaction with Guests
I can be easily persuaded to babysit, as I have been a nanny for many years and love most children. I have an ancient Dachshund named Oliver who can be Barky at times but he can also stay in my room if he is causing any trouble.
Other Things to Note
Most people come to Florida to pay homage to Mickey Mouse. I would suggest flying into Orlando International Airport and to stay in Orlando for as long as you need, then make the trek to Stuart for the rest of your journey. It is a two hour drive. We are an hour drive north of West Palm Beach if you wanted to spend a day there. There is also an airport in West Palm Beach, one hour away from us.
The Neighborhood
The Estuary is tucked away and unspoiled. We have beautiful views of the St. Lucie River just across our road and you can guess that there are little tributaries and ponds encircling the buildings.
Getting Around
The best thing is to rent a car from the airport. The Public transportation is not real great.
